Date Twinsies

A few weekends ago, Charles and I invited the lovely couple, Kirsten and Paul to a fancy little downtown double date. To celebrate Kirsten's birthday, we had dinner at an open-patio Italian restaurant with the best view of the Coronado Ferry Landing. We all strolled around Downtown for a bit and I was reminded of how much I love the night-life in the city. I'm still amazed at how much Kirsten and I have in common, its not very often when you find someone who just clicks with you automatically and understands you. Its so funny how similar our relationships are. I can't wait till our next double date with my favorite couple <3

A Day in L.A.

After doing the lookbook shoot, Charles and I decided to take the rest of the day and explore DTLA. We had lunch in Little Tokyo and if you like cute little japanese stores like Sanrio or Tokyo Lifestyle, then this is definitely the place for you. I was overwhelmed by the cuteness of the place and its a great date spot as well because they have yummy little restaurants and dessert places. After that, we headed to Melrose because we've never shopped there before. The shops are amazing, especially the upcycled vintage stores like Wasteland, Crossroads Trading Co. and lots of others. I posted the clothes I bought in my Recent Purchases post. And of course, a trip to L.A. isn't complete without a cookie ice-cream sandwich from Milk, a box of macarons from 'Lette, and a night-time view of the LACMA lights. It felt like a movie, wandering freely around the city with the love of your life.

Behind the Scenes: Candid L.A. Lookbook

The Candid L.A. Lookbook will be released this week! ...but until then, here is a sneak peek of what went down behind the scenes.

Opening Lookbook:
In order to give my new site a proper introduction, I needed the perfect opening lookbook to showcase my first collection. Luckily, photographer, Gian Torres contacted me to discuss whether I was interested in collaborating with him and a model for an upcoming shoot. This was the perfect opportunity to shoot the opening collection. I had the pleasure of working with Gian and the beyond gorgeous model, Giselle Piña. I couldn't have thought of a better person to model my clothes. Charles and AC helped out with the shoot as well and with a team of such talented members, of course it was a success. Together, the photos create the perfect introduction.

Here is a behind the scenes video of the shoot by AC! http://vimeo.com/61062448

Spring Lookbook:
I had way too much fun styling and shooting the Spring lookbook because I'm a sucker for florals. I have to thank my amazing boyfriend/photographer, Charles and my beautiful friends for making this possible in such short notice. I chose Lake Skinner as the location because its the perfect place to spend a day in Spring and not to mention the fact that its less than 10 minutes away from house. The spring collection is simply adorable.
